The Friday Five: Silk, Matcha and Ice Cream

Happy Friday! I cannot believe how quickly this week has flown by, and summer in general! I always get this FOMO feeling this time of year to make sure that I’m having a good summer and taking advantage of every opportunity to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. However with work and other obligations, sometimes it can be hard to just stop and enjoy! Thankfully I have a few favorites/new things I’ve been trying recently which are very very exciting!

ONE // ZARA SUMMER SALE

Did you see my ZARA summer sale haul on YouTube? I scored some major pieces. From trendy white strappy shoes to the most beautiful princess headband, you don’t want to miss it.

TWO // CHA CHA MATCHA

I’m not a coffee drinker naturally because I’m not a fan of the energy rush, which is why I turn to matcha if I’m feeling extra-tired during the day. Matcha’s caffine is slow-release, and it has the same benefits as green tea so it’s a healthy alternative! I’ve been drinking matcha for a while now, but I finally stopped in to Cha Cha Matcha this morning to grab an iced matcha latte with almond milk and all I have to say is YUM! If the drink itself isn’t enough, the little shop is incredibly insta-worthy and perfect for a quick boomerang or bright post!

THREE // CAUDALIE BEAUTY ELIXIR MINI

I have tried many a rose-spray over the years from Mario Badescu to Glossier to Kora Organics (the list goes on) but none have felt quite as refreshing as Caudalie’s new beauty Elixir! I’ve linked to the mini version because it’s limited edition and much less expensive so you can try it out first! This spray is so glorious it actually makes me excited to wake up in the morning and use it – not kidding! It also comes in a nice glass bottle with a beautiful pink and white floral design so it’ll look gorgeous next to your other skincare products.

FOUR // ALL SILK EVERYTHING

From Slip Scrunchies to this beautiful blue Nanushka wrap top to slip dresses and silk skirts, I’ve been loving all things slik recently! Since starting this blog, I’ve paid much more attention to clothing and fabrics are a huge part of that. I want to pick quality pieces to review only! True silk just seems to always fit the bill, and can be incredibly sophisticated-looking!

FIVE // MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM

Have you visited the Museum of Ice Cream yet? Cool cause me neither! While on a recent trip to San Francisco, I was super excited to visit the museum and bump up my Insta feed to the max. Unfortunately for me, the one day we had tickets was the one day the museum was flooded by a random accident – a truck hit a fire hydrant that flooded the main floor of the museum. We waited in line and I was able to get one or two good shots from the sprinkle pool, but such a missed opportunity!
