Like it or not, Fall is right around the corner! If you’re anything like me, this can feel like doomsday style-wise. I have a very girly, feminine style with lots of whites, pastels and pinks and I find it just so hard to get inspired by winter clothing as it’s usually centered around darker more covered up styles. But that doesn’t have to be the case! Read-on for fun fall fashion trends that you can start incorporating now!
1) FALL FLORALS
What is a “Fall Floral” you ask? Well it’s a darker floral pattern! Colder temperatures don’t always have to equal jeans and a chunky sweater. You don’t have to pack away your dresses just yet! Start switching from white dresses to dark floral dresses for the perfect in-between season look.
2) TURTLENECKS + MINI SKIRTS
One of my favorite simple fall/winter combinations is the classic turtleneck and skirt. Make sure you have a few of these basics in your wardrobe and you can’t go wrong! Accessorize with a fun patterned scarf, a cute pom pom hat, a velvet headband, over-the-knee boots, some fun jewelry, you name it. A girly alternative to jeans!
3) WHITE BOOTS
Now is the time to pull our your white booties again! Pair with a skirt and a sweater a la Tip #2, or use to jazz up a boring pair of jeans. You can’t go wrong and it adds such a nice chic look to the entire outfit.
4) TOP HANDLE BAGS
Top handle bags add a classy, put-together vibe to any outfit. Style in the crook of your arm for the “shopping in SoHo” look. Big or small, a top handle bag adds an essence of maturity and style to your look!
5) THE PEASANT BLOUSE
The peasant blouse can be a broad phrase, but what I’m referring to here is a loose-fitted top with some structure around the neckline or sleeveline, reminiscent of a pirate’s shirt but more chic!
